Daily Plan

Day 1:
Flight to Zanzibar from Manchester or London.
Day 2:
Arrive in Zanzibar and transfer to hotel. After checking in, we will head straight to the beach, to enjoy a relaxing day getting a dose of vitamin D, swimming in the sea, unwinding and getting to know each other.
Day 3:
An early morning, we will head to Stone Town. From there we will take a boat to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, we will enjoy this natural paradise and have the extraordinary opportunity to get close to the giant tortoises that roam the island. We will have some time to swim or snorkel in the crystal-clear waters in search of colourful fish and marine life. We will then head to Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the Old Slave Market and learn the history of this fascinating town.
Day 4:
Today we will head out to explore a Tanzanian spice farm, we will wake up our senses, tasting and smelling an abundance of spices, herbs and fruits. We will learn from our expert guide about the significance of different crops and their cultivation. We will then venture into the jungle of Jozani Forest, where we will glimpse the rare red Columbus monkey swinging from the trees. With our guide we will walk through the trees, along the nature trail home to a number of species of animals and plants.
Day 5:
Free day, relax on the beach, swim in the sea, head to a local market.
Day 6:
Head to the airport, we will fly to Arusha. Check-in at the Mount Meru Hotel and then embark on a city tour – depending on arrival time.
Day 7:
After breakfast in the Lodge we depart for Tarangire National Park for a full day Game drive. The park owes its name to Tarangire River, which flows across the area. Though it is not as famous as other parks in the north, Tarangire offers the same attractions as other parks in the north. We will witness the unique annual animal migration that takes place during the dry season.
Day 8:
Early morning departure for Ngorongoro crater tour, for a game drive on the floor of the crater. After the game drive will drive to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Ngorongoro’s caldera shelters the most beautiful wildlife haven on earth. The rich pasture and permanent water of the Crater floor supports a resident population of some 20,000 to 25,000 large mammals. They are not confined by the Crater walls and can leave freely; they stay because the conditions are favourable. Since most of the Crater floor is grassland, grazing animals predominate; gnu, zebra, gazelles, buffalo, eland and kongoni (Coke’s hartebeest) and warthogs. The swamp and forest provide additional resources for hippos, some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos, giant-tusked elephants, waterbucks, reedbucks and bushbucks, baboons and vervets. The steep inner slopes provide a habitat for dikdiks and the rare mountain reedbuck. Towering euphorbias cling to the crater walls and on the floor, Fever tree and Fig tree forests give shade to an awe-inspiring array of creatures. All these animals in turn support large predators such as Lion and Leopard, and scavengers such as Hyena and Jackals. For the best viewing and photography, approach the animals slowly and quietly and stay on the official tracks.
Day 9:
After breakfast in the Lodge, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. After enjoying a wildlife experience in this green park, we drive to Arusha. Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife area, consisting of a shallow but huge soda lake, at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lions. Game drive in the afternoon then drive to Arusha town for dinner and overnight.
Day 10:
After breakfast in the Hotel, we will visit an Islamic Orphanage in Arusha, where we will hear children reciting Quran and Hadith. Head back to the airport to fly back to Zanzibar and transfer to hotel in Zanzibar.
