Girls Group Holiday

End of Year Reflections

We are nearing the end of 2018 and I am looking back on what a year it has been. In 2018 I arranged four Girls Group Holidays, we went to Istanbul, Venice and Rome, Berlin and ended the year on a high with Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava. I have countless memories from each of the trips of the sites we saw together from Vatican City and the Colosseum to the Parliament of Budapest lit up at night. From the remains of the Berlin Wall to the St Stephens Cathedral in Vienna under a blanket of snow.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet and travel with girls and women who started off as strangers, but quickly became some of my closest friends. I can’t express how grateful I am to the special friendships we’ve created. Talking into the night, drinking ayran in bed, the much-needed massages, the secrets, the dance routines, sharing the wisdom, sharing our reading lists, enjoying 19th century coffee shops and soviet style soft drinks, Fajr prayer missions, late night park missions, melting in the Venetian heat, getting soaked in the Roman rain and being mesmerised by the fairy tale Viennese snowfall. I’ve learnt so much from you and meeting you has made my life much richer.

In turn, I have seen your confidence levels flourish, I have seen you become inspired, your curiosity awakened, I have seen you form new friendships, I have seen you feel good about yourself and I have seen you evolve.

Thank you for trusting me enough to travel with me and thank you for an incredible 2018. Inshallah 2019 will be just as good – I’ve got some exciting trips lined up. I am looking forward to exploring new places, meeting new friends and creating lots of new memories. I hope you will join me on the adventure.

Wishing you a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2019.

With love,

Sophia
